The sonic equivalent of putting pen to paper. But there's a lot more to it than just pushing the big red button. A well managed session means there's nothing standing between "I have an idea" and "nailed it". 

So you have a handful (a bunch? Dozens?)of  tracks, they're sounding pretty tight, but now its time to make them into  a song. That's mixing. Space, balance, depth, impact, and polish all go into turning a performance into an experience. Mixing is where the sounds become a journey. 

Your tracks are assembled, the mix is on point, and you're ready to finally let the world hear your work. Now what?

 Mastering is the final step in the process, taking all your hard work and getting it into shape as a single entity. Final levels, effects, spacing and flow are all taken into consideration.
